Official Appomattox County criminal records must be requested from the office that created or maintains them. The contacts below route sheriff reports, criminal court files, statewide histories, and related records to their proper custodians. This private reference site does not receive government requests or hold official records.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately run resource cannot retrieve criminal records, conduct official checks, change a government file, or accept an expungement or sealing petition. Contact the responsible public office for each service.

Need an Official Record?

Use the following Appomattox County and Virginia channels for commonly requested records:

The Appomattox Circuit Court Clerk is at 297 Court Street, Suite B, Appomattox, VA 24522; mailing address P.O. Box 672, Appomattox, VA 24522-0672; phone 434-352-5275. Counter hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except state holidays.

The Appomattox General District Court is on the second floor at 297 Court Street; mailing address P.O. Box 187, Appomattox, VA 24522-0187; phone 434-352-5540. Its office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, also on the second floor, uses 434-352-8225 for matters within its jurisdiction.
